Royal Armouries

The Royal Armouries building holds the national collection of arms and armour in five special galleries covering war, tournament, self–defence, hunting and the armour of the Orient. The exhibits span 3000 years ranging from the primitive to the downright scary. Live demonstrations add a bit of action; try and catch the jousting or fencing if you can. As an added bonus, entry's free and there's a shop should you feel the need to purchase a plastic shield to protect yourself on the mean streets of Leeds.
