The tricky bit is finding this place, but once you do, all memories of Brixton will vanish and you'll think you're dining with a super-select posse of in-the-know Parisians. For £25 you get three courses from a short, simple menu that changes regularly – we particularly loved the starter of plaice with scallops, mussels and samphire. An extensive wine list and after-dinner drinks menu prove you're in the capable hands of people who definitely know their onions. Sensational.
