When you're sitting on a picnic bench, munching on pie and mash from a cardboard box and dodging the drips of rain from tatty, giant umbrellas, you know you're on Brick Lane. The Vibe Bar epitomises the general Shoreditch vibe: scruffy, but stylish and lots of fun. Inside, the sofa-strewn bar is overlooked by street-art wall graffiti and the velveteen back room looks like a low-budget wedding reception. The resident DJs keep things fresh and full-on.
