Reliance, The
Don't be put off by the gutter-chic Hoxtonites who loiter outside – most won't venture into The Reliance. Open brickwork and polished floors make an unusually smart, if crowded, boozer for this part of town. Signs of the fashionable East End location can be spotted in the food (must a burger be served in a focaccia bun?), the sometimes oblivious staff, and most of all, the prices. A pint of Litovel lager will cost you £4.80.
