Beano's

These days, anyone with a Leona Lewis ringtone can claim to be a music fan. But back in the day it took a trek to deepest, darkest south London to qualify. A trip here is a musical rite of passage; a journey to worship at the altar of all things obscure, collectable and out of print – and cheap. Beano's was once Europe's largest second-hand record shop, and the regular threat of closure makes for some gratifyingly-insane sales along the way. So make the pilgrimage now, before illegal downloads finally put paid to this iconic establishment. Sniff.
