A good old-fashioned cinema: marked by the sagging velvet seats, teeny chocolate booth and complete absence of bucket-sized fizzy-pop holders in the armrests. If you're indecisive, you'll love the fact that they only show one film at a time – normally a very good one at that. Unfortunately, the veto on cheesy blockbusters doesn't seem to have had much of an impact on the ticket price. Still, eight quid buys you a good movie, a comfy seat and the joy of not having to sit through any nauseatingly 'kooky' mobile phone endorsements.
