Oxfam Bookshop

We don't know who thought of putting together specialist Oxfam shops. Perhaps a volunteer who was tired of dusting the piles of useless tat and porcelain terriers in an average Oxfam shop? Or maybe it was a customer who was tired of brushing elbows with the off-duty tramps (you know, when they untie the plastic bags from their feet, get their shoes out from behind the wheelie bin and head off to buy a natty, new beer-stained parka)? Whoever it was did a service for the time rich and cash poor; all the books you need at a couple of quid a pop.
