Bonnington Cafe
Often hippies get it wrong; like swearing by natural deodrants and wearing tie-dye outfits. But sometimes they get it very right, and this is the result. Tucked away in a pretty residential corner of Vauxhall (yes, you read that right), it began life in the 80s as a communal kitchen for squatters. The chefs still work on rotation and it's BYO, with one 3-course meal on offer for only £10. Sometimes you'll get lucky with immaculate butternut squash curry, but sometimes you might end up with a watery black bean stew. That's life, man.
