If you thought that all you found under the madness of Oxford Circus were a few knackered old trains, quite a few rats and the effluent of the Topshop generation, well, you'd be right. But turn your pickaxe due north and tunnel a bit and you'll break through into the tiny space that is 22 Below. It may be subordinate in its location but there's nothing shady about its speakeasy vibe, top notch cocktails and tasty Asian-influenced grub. And they'll even serve miners, though probably not if you come crashing through the wall.
