Hemingford Arms

An extremely large and bizarrely stocked junk shop appears to have visited this pub and sneezed all over the ceiling. Its gravity defying effluence includes terrifying objects of taxidermy, puppetry, musical wizardry and 'don't ask' machinery. If you're going to have crap on the ceiling, there's no point doing it by halves. To avoid the beady gazes of the ceiling creatures, head outside to the wall-mounted Eden of verdant creepers and hanging baskets that pretty up the pavement seating. Friendly regulars, real ales and a Monday night skiffle band all chip in to make this a local hot spot.
