The Colonnade Townhouse

Formerly two Victorian Mansions, The Colonnade Hotel in Little Venice is a pretty top notch affair with the kind of grand designs to make the presenters on that excellent TV programme quiver in fear. You'll want to do a hell of a lot more than bounce on the four-poster beds (complete with duck down duvets) and watch your sticky fingers on those ornaments – this ain't your grandma's funeral, they're not yours. Just 5 minutes from Paddington station it's a good spot to camp if you're on an early flight from Heathrow.
