Books for Cooks do it properly, with thousands of cookbooks sitting beside a test kitchen, where you're invited to put theory into practice. Every day, at tables squished into cosy alcoves between the bookshelves, you can sample gorgeous lunches, home-baked cakes and coffee, until everything runs out. Fab for a Saturday afternoon away from the market, cookery classes are also available.
