Drunken Monkey

Get to the Drunken Monkey at 4.55pm if you want a table – it fills up quickly. The crowd is a mix of city types coming from one direction and dope young things gravitating from the other, which makes for a bustling atmosphere with regular DJ spots. There's a great range of decently-priced cocktails, and expect dim sum if you're after food – it's pleasantly different and soaks up the booze well. This is a good new venue, which is easy to miss with its unremarkable facade, perhaps a throwback from its earlier incarnation as a lap-dancing bar.
