Strolling through the back streets of Barnsbury can feel a bit like you've somehow stepped back in time to provincial Sussex, circa 1927, and stumbling across the Albion does little to dispel this. Behind its village pub frontage, what appears to be quite a small bar keeps stretching round corners into more and more rooms, with lovely beer gardens at front and back. If you're lucky you might catch Poirot sitting in a corner exercising ze little grey cells on his latest widowcide while Hastings prances round like a tool in motoring goggles.
