Notting Hill Brasserie
Notting Hill might be associated primarily with Dave 'I'm cool and compassionate' Cameron and his pretend eco-warrior chums at the moment, but unlike he of worryingly large forehead, this place is very much substance over style. Sure, there's a couple of lounge-jazz musicians that are tinklier than an OAP with a hole in their colostomy bag, and the requisite low-lighting and cream walls, but the food's more than good enough to match it. It's not cheap, but considering how melt-in-the mouth tasty it is, it's worth it if you've got someone you want to impress. If DC could get all the voters in the UK down here for some lobbying, he'd win the next election hands down.
