The locals must have had a minor coronary when this place arrived on the scene –ciabatta and Chablis round these parts? Not on your– Well anyway– the Northgate came and it conquered and is now considered one of the finest gastro pubs in all Islington. It has a slightly rougher round the edges feel which in a world of plastic wrapped sterility makes a fine change. Rock up and get your mouth round something tasty.
