To get to the spiky-haired one's newest restaurant you'll need to make your way through crowds of pompous city boys wining each other. This is because Rhodes W1 is set in the airport lounge-esque Cumberland hotel, favourite haunt of businessmen. As you'd expect from a celebrity-chef owned restaurant, you shouldn't come here before payday, lest you be up to your elbows in suds and dishes by the time the bill comes. But the interesting spin on British cuisine, along with the soulful jazz DJ and attentive service make this place worth considering for a blow-out meal. A word of warning though: avoid the smoking area lest some portly stock trader comes and blows cigar smoke across your dinner.
