Now you could come here and settle for bar Twentyfour – below Vertigo 42 – with its city boy clientele, bottled beers and swish grey seating. It has great views and all that but if there's a better view to be had – and you're going to have to pay for the privilege – we demand you take it. Vertigo 42 is the Champagne bar equivalent, equally packed with city boys but with awe inspiring views to take your mind off your own poverty. You can only drink Champagne or cocktails – £38 for the cheapest bottle and £9 respectively – and bar snacks are oysters. If you're going to do a job, kids, do it properly.
