A welcome addition to Hackney's burgeoning bar scene. District – from the people behind the White Horse in Brixton – is situated right next to Hackney Central and offers a chilled out atmosphere, great music and a top-notch menu. Rock up on Sunday for a hangover-defying roast, a bloody mary and a gentle lull into Monday morning. Friday and Saturday nights are also well worth dropping in for; with a late licence and excellent DJ sets – A Man called Adam/Nuphonic amongst others – this place knows how to sort a night out. There's a 2-4-1 happy hour on cocktails and shooters, Mon–Fri, 5pm–8pm & Sat–Sun, 4pm–7pm.
