Kensington Place

Apparently this was the late Princess Diana's favourite restaurant, and you can see why. Open plan, yet still maintaining a level of intimacy, you can sit and watch the well–heeled get well fed and well oiled. The food is exquisite, though thin on the vegetarian front. But with all of this comes a flip side –it's a bit too posh nosh to be much of a laugh, so bring your manners.
