A Walk Along The Canal

Let's face it: it is a false stereotype that it always rains in England. At least once a fortnight in the summer months you can venture out without a mac and sou' wester, and when the sun has his hat on (instead of you), a walk along the canal can be very enjoyable. It's refreshingly free of charge and all the daisies made us feel quite wholesome, even in the face of a tortuous hangover. Despite the state of our thumping head, Itchy couldn't help a smile. Also, if you happen to be an inquisitive sort, then you may even have a chance to peek discreetly inside some of the barges moored up at the water's edge. It's amazing to see the tat that some people stash inside their floating holiday homes.
