Parade Gardens
Grab a deckchair and sit down by the river. Huge topiary creations and impressive flower beds, and if you're lucky you may even catch a brass band or wine tasting event here in the summer. You have to pay to get in, which is no bad thing as it gives you that wonderful smug feeling that you are entering an elite private members club. Only it's not a club, it's a park.
