Ustinov, The

Lordy, Bath's a posh place. While this does mean that the city can sometimes lack the cosmopolitan excitement of other, more diverse locations, it does mean we have some things other people can get jealous of; like Britain's largest puppet festival. Of course, the Ustinov has more strings to its bow than it would take to make an entire Muppets movie – challenging new pieces are the name of the game here. In fact, it's the perfect antidote to the sometimes stuffy and conservative Theatre Royal next door. Think abstract, modern performances and cutting-edge contemporary theatre.
