Grapes, The

When we were growing up, there was a persistent rumour that this place was a 'transsexual' pub. Quite how the small and conservative population of Bath would support enough transsexuals to warrant a special bar of their own never entered our juvenile heads. But for years we avoided the place, which is a shame because in reality it is an okay pub where you're always guaranteed to get a seat. To this day, Itchy has never spotted a transsexual in Bath, apart from on Hollyoaks, and that doesn't count
