Slacken your belt another notch, as Bath is bursting with gastronomic delights.

Kill a hangover the scenic way by enjoying a breakfast by the water at The Riverside Café (17 Argyle Street, 01225 480 532). For a right royal roast, indulge at the Hole in the Wall (16 George Street, 01225 425 242). It doesn't come cheap, but then it does have the reputation of being Bath's best restaurant. Vegetarians are in for a treat at Demuths Vegetarian (2 North Parade Passage, 01225 446 059). It's daring cuisine that doesn't try to replace meat with stuffed peppers.
