Bath's best boozers

Bath is definitely in the running for the UK title of 'most pubs per square inch', but Itchy has done the 'hard work' of separating quality from quantity for you. Our favourite three places to sink a pint have got to be:

1. The Salamander (3 John Street, 01225 428 889) for a relaxed atmosphere and décor that has withstood the army of chrome currently invading the nation's pubs...

2) The Old Green Tree (12 Green Street, 01225 329 314) for the choicest ales and a tempting selection of Belgian beers... And finally,

3) The Lamb & Lion (15 Lower Borough Walls, 01225 474 931) - great for drinks deals that include something infinitely more palatable than a WKD or a warm Carling.

Hurry on down there. Now we've let the cat out of the bag, these places are going to be heaving. That's the kind of influence we exert.
